Took a walk thru the botanical garden this morning w/the FZ35. What a nice camera this is. It doesn't feel right to call it a point & shoot, that leaves too much unsaid. There are some very intriguing menu options, which I look forward to exploring. I'm still trying to find the spot metering option. It's kind of fun to explore a new camera without reading the manual first. But at some point, if I can't find the spot metering option, I'm gonna have to do it.

This is a detail from a Halloween scarecrow contest at the botanical garden. Some of it is quite artistic. This exhibit used gourds to make all the creatures, including this horse.
Makes a fun, interesting photo, when enlarged and taken in as well! I like the simplicity of color and shapes. The lighting is what really sells it. Nice!
