 This photo was taken at the entrance to Golden Dome cave in Lava Beds National Monument. Lava tubes such as this are formed when lava flows beneath Earth's surface, drains, and cools leaving underground tubes/caves.

I'm sure if Heida was there, this is what she would have done. (Interesting place, but I haven't been there in over 20 years.)
