Well, I went out to my school where the younger kids were. I asked some kids (in colorfull clothes) to run back and forth and took one shot on slow shutter, then I asked another kid to pose there at the wall. Then i started Photoshoping!
I mixed the photos together and did the usual: Contrast, brightness, exposure, history brush and on and on... Then I took the layer of the kid and worked with it in Topaz adjust (great plugin by the way) an deasturated him al little and gave him a little HDR, then i did the same with the kids in the background.
I don't know if you like the resault but I like it very much and had a lot of fun doing this.

hmmmmmm..... now an multiple exposure putting a man walking on water is one thing but your picture is another. Still the rules are rules and in this case very clear. But all the same I still think this is a cracking good photo both in execution and connection to the challenge. (sorry hope not gabbling but just had a band rehearsal and so a little tipsy)
I'm so sorry about your dq of this amazing, story telling photo! Being so brand new to dpChallenge, it is so perfectly understandable how that could happen. It looks like you are an awesome photographer, and I look forward to seeing more ribbons from you!
your honesty is very much appreciated, don't let the dq affect your dpc-enthusiasm, keep up the excellent work!.

Huge congrats on the ribbon! But I am afraid you will be dqd based on the precedents of what the SC has done in similar cases, when the author posted (as part of the description) an explicit violation of the editing rules. SC has reconsidered their decision, at least in one of those cases, after the author claimed the self-incriminatory description was a wording mistake.
Hefðir frekar átt að nota mig sem módel, ég er alveg í þessu skapi núna =)
Til hamingju með þetta kallinn.
Haha já, það hefði skilað mun betri árangri!

Regardless if this image is going to get disqualified or not, You've done a great job in this challenge, keep up the good work, and I am sure you'll fit just fine in this little wonderful community :)
Thank you very much, disqualification only makes you stronger :P
Wow thanks everyone! I really appreciate the comments and the votes.
When I read the rules for Advanced editing I wasn't sure about them but I read it over and over again until I was pretty sure I understood them right, unfortunatly I didn't. I thought that it was ok to mix two photos together from the same scene but that must be wrong (I'm from Iceland and not very good at English). Of course I tried to take the photo whith a single fram but the kid was alway a little blurry.
Again, thank you very much!
You can mix photos with the same scene, you just can't have elements change between them. So having one frame where it's just the boy, and then another where it's running kids, is going to be a no-no. It's unfortunate, for the challenge, but it in no way detracts from the PHOTO itself, and even though you'll probably lose the ribbon, take some solace in the fact that you learned something new, had fun doing it, and have a wonderful stand-alone photo as a result... and at least you'll get SOME front page exposure.

I agree with K10D guy (I cannot believe I just said that!). I wish you the best, but I think you are going to have an issue with getting it validated. :(
From the rules: create your entry from 1-10 captures of a single scene (defined as a scene whose composition/framing does not change).
I think that composition would definately include the running children. Especially considering they were within your creative control. (not like clouds or wind-blown grass which will move but not be within the photographer's control)
I do hope I am wrong about that, because it is a great image, and I would hate to see anyone lose a ribbon. Good luck. (and I DO mean that)
Congrats on the ribbon that you'll have for a very short time probably. You could have shot this in one frame (unless the kid at the wall was hyperactive)
K20DGuy, my thoughts also. A great idea which could have been shot with one frame. You have a lot of talent, keep up the good work but watch the editing rules.
I like the image very much. The title could be better... perhaps "Alone with no friends" or something to make the other folks be necessary to the image.
BUT, this isn't a title contest, it's a photography contest. LOL! So, back to that... It seems a bit dark.. .the sky is muddy. But, the kid is well done. I like the blurred kids very much. (not voting)
This picture really tells a story - the only critique I have is that the title seems to not quite complement the scene as well as it could. "First Day Back" might have worked better and lets the picture do most of the story telling.
