 This view looking west on 09/01 shows the haze from smoke blowing into the Denver area from the fires in California, Utah, and Colorado.

Post processing: Adjust in ACR, crop, some light Topaz.

In spite of the circumstances, this is really beautiful, and (obviously) quite carefully and smartly composed. Looks like a painting almost.

Thats interesting that the closer hill/mountain has the normal tan color while the distant mountains have a grayish (B&W) tone; guessing due to the smoke haze. I agree that the DOF is pretty good.

Nice scene. I like the great DOF that the P&S cams can get because of their small sensors. This is a good example of that.

The smoke gives it almost a painting-like appearance. Awesome scenery, not counting the forest fires. I assume you have more of this area coming?
