 Also taken last week - i will go out this weekend and take new ones i promise!

Saw this on the way down a (small) mountain path in the lakes. No idea what he is but he is very blue.

This is using the macro setting on the camera, its not too bad for macro really.
Put a bit of a lighting effect on to spotlight him nicely any comments gratefully recieved!

Point n' shoot cams seem to do a fine job with macro shooting. This shot has good detail.

Half inch is probably about right. He wasnt a huge one and I only spotted him because I had to concentrate so much on not falling over my feet!

It has good detail on the lines on it's body. Good macro shot. I'm not a big post processing guy, but maybe tone down the highlights on the upper part of it's body. Otherwise, a good shot. Just curious, how big is the beetle? half inch? Looks huge in the pic.
