I'm looking at this for quite a bit longer trying to figure out what I like and don't like about the image. I like the sun lit canyon wall. That holds the most interest for this photo. With that being said, I think this will get dinged for the horizon being too centered. The background of the canyon is dark. Strictly my opinion, perhaps cropping out most of the sky and the right portion of the canyon, turning the image orientation to a portrait framing in order to focus on the sun lit canyon wall would have made this a stronger image, since it is the textures on the sun lit canyon wall that holds the viewer's interest. (Just MHO). Good luck in the challenge. |
