 Taken at Lagoon Amusement Park in Utah

I got the attendants to place the ribbon up and let me take some pictures. I paid my $2.00 as if I had thrown the darts.

This took some fairly heavy editing, including cloning out the multiple reflections on the baloons down to a single reflection, shifting the hue on the burlap and ribbon, and saturating the balloons, high pass sharpening and selectively using contrast and levels to put the accent on the ribbon.

It's been a while since I've been able to enter, but the lack of entries and the chance to take pictures at the amusement park convinced me to give it a try today.

Took me a while to take this one in properly and see what was going on. I didn't instantly see the burst balloon pinned to the ribbon, I thought the idea was that it had burst in the shape of the ribbon (not that it really matters, but I figured I would mention it anyway).

Nice concept, don't think the bland brown background helps particularly, and the balloons all look kinda deflated and limp.
