The sheep were drawn in photoshop with a pen tablet. The 3 colors printed out on heavy paper, cut out and suspended with fishing line over my pillow.
Processing: cloned out the fishing lines, levels (increased the blacks a lot to even the background and give the night feeling), dodge & burn, black & white with yellow filter (sheep masked), smart sharpen, resized, USM, added border, saved for web.

Greetings from the Critique Club and congratulations on top 10!
First impression: It made me laugh, the faces are too cute. Fantastic image, very original and well done.
Tehcnicals: Your technicals are spot on, I love the selective desaturation. Your composition is good, although it feels a little tight for me -- a little more space on the sides would do it. Your focus is spot on and exposure is great, I love the wrinkles on the pillow.
Final thoughts: It is hard to critique an image that I like. The photo is really well done and everything works well. Great job!
Funny, I was thinking of doing something on sleeping as well, couldn't think of a way to present it though, which you have pulled off successfully.
Good creative idea and nice presentation. I almost always mark shots down for partial desaturation, but I think this is actually one of the rare examples of it that actually works, well done!
