We are in the throes of something called "Old Spanish Days". This is a group of musicians that came up from Los Angeles to accompany some folkloric dancers performing on De La Guerra Plaza. I used some lens blur to try and give this the effect of an old-time snapshot.
i remember seeing one of these bands years ago, they would pass the guitars to the left every now and then and the last in the line would throw his guitar over the top to the first in the line if that makes any sense at all lol.... nice shot
Most of the mariachi bands I've seen in California and elsewhere mostly have been composed of older, somewhat grizzled, men. Interesting to see it taken up by a younger set.
