Caught this blue tit chick five minutes after leaving the nest today. PS work as follows:
usual levels, contrast etc; sharpened around the eyes and beak; blurred front and rear branches to isolate the bird even more; used "multiply" layer around the outside for same effect; cropped. Hope people like, this is my first entry for a long while.

Lovely image.. Nice capture of this youngster. The one point I find distracting is the bright white area above him/her. Cloning that out would have made this a 10!
Heh, I didn't know a bird could scowl. Its a great photo. The tip of his beak seems a little fuzzy and the bright white spot over his head is somewhat distracting though. That could be edited out easy enough. Good job :)
