This is the first time I’ve tried dripping oil into oil, the results are so different to using ordinary tap water or even milk… sooo, it took me many evenings before I started getting anything decent and about 400 shots all in all to get this one. I won’t go into the mess I had to clean up after every photo session ;-) and oh, my poor lens… oil everywhere, in my hair, on my glasses, clothes, the kitchen floor…
First vote was a thrilling 10 from sempermarine. Thanks for being so fair, Jeff.
Thanks so much for the votes and comments, you guys. It was a nerve-wracking week for me, the update button suffered a LOT of use ;-)
THANKS, thanks, thanks a million for the ribbon!!

deserves that 1 ...... no I didn't mean that I was just wondering what it felt like to say something stupid. I'm amazed this photo got any scores below 7.
Way to go, Irene. When I was voting, I actually Ben's might be yours. I almost said, "Irene????" What a compliment to Ben :) Course, this one also is clearly an Irene work of art too :) Congratulations.
Wicked shot girl. I actually had an oil drop shot to enter but wasn't happy with the final result...so I am pleased to see that you entered and ribboned with yours. Congrats.
You are such a legend Irene...thanks for the story behind this. People think this kind of shot is easy, but it is not...so messy and so hard to get a good shot...of course, I was right on the money and picked it as yours...congrats again...
congrats irene on the red ribbon .. this is such an amazing shot .. incredible really .. :)
& wot i love about you is that no matter how many ribbons you get, and you get A LOT, you are always so thrilled and appreciative of the comments and votes .. :)
