Challenge: Free Study 2009-07 (Advanced Editing VII)
Collection: dpchallenge entries
Camera: Canon EOS-1D Mark II
Lens: Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0 L USM
Location: Mt. Smart Stadium. Auckland, New Zealand
Date: Jul 26, 2009
Aperture: f4
ISO: 320
Shutter: 1/500
Galleries: Sports, Action
Date Uploaded: Jul 31, 2009

My first entry with my new (second hand) 1D MKII.

The crop was probably a bit too tight but I was trying to bring out the emotion in the players face & also edit out the other players on the field.

Awesome action shot and deserved a much higher score. I'd say it suffered a bit from not being a recognisable american sport.

Wasn't this the only try for that game? Today's effort was disgraceful too. Heart breakers they are. I've actually stopped watching their games entirely :(
