Lensbaby shot into the sun. The young man in the foreground had been over by the stroller when I first sought to compose a shot, but he began quite purposefully striding directly toward me. Apparently his dad had just gone somewhere behind me and the young man was not at all pleased to stay by the stroller.
In reality, the feet are not related. But for the sake of this picture, they are.
This is entered at the bequest of Karma and others who voted "torture" over "safe", so you guys will all share in my lovely sub-5 score! :-)
Processing is the Platino V2 action and a very slight crop.

Really brought down my average a bit. I'd worked quite hard and had a pretty good run to get my overall average to x.x500, and as of this writing it's down to x.x487. That's quite the drop for as many challenges as I have, yes? Kinda sad. But thanks to the three of you who do like it! I really appreciate that!

I guess I looked at this wrong because I thought it was a child running to the stroller or the mom who's feet are in the background. I like how things seem to be disproportionate - where the child and the stroller look huge compared to the feet in the background. Interesting composition.
I did not get around to this when voting, and I wish I had've. I think it is awesome. It is spooky and disconnected, and reminds me of kids who are neglected and left alone on their own. It's like whoever is responsible for the little guy is just walking off. Or maybe, the little guy is leaving the stroller growing up and become more independent.
I think you entered the right one; sorry your average took a hit.
I, as always, love to see what parts of life you encounter that you share, and to see how you choose to do so. The conversion is great, your handle of the LB is wonderful.
the tone strikes me.
Platino V2 action? is interesting. I don't think I have heard of it before. In a cursory search I don't seem to find much about it.
This is a new dimension for the new breed to understand, you see me but you can't, a strong photo for the purists, and a also ran for the others, I Like the texture and the story for this image well done.
I had a hunch... Really nice. Wish I had had time to comment more extensively during this challenge (usually I'm not so terse), but I wanted to at least acknowledge it. I gave this an eight. Street + Shadows = Sublime.
PS: I think your alternate would have scored higher -- it has more mass appeal. But of the two, I prefer this one. I think you did too.
Deb, check out the commenter scores. Now I didn't vote, so it could have even gone up. I know it's not been appreciated as well as it might, but to me it is still a fabulous image and should have scored much higher.
