What an interesting shot, i love all the greens with that vivid white.
You shallow DOF works really well here with this subject. But I couldn't actually tell what it was until I read your notes. . More focus on the actual insects would have helped , when i looked for a while, i could tell it was a wasp type thing and spider, but the back of the body of the wasp was out of focus. If it had been in focus then it would have slapped me in the face and screamed spider eating wasp.
Your post processing is good, just needs a little more sharpness, the colours are outstanding. So a little more DOF would have brought this score right up there.
