A different angle would have probably been a little better.

I like the bird at the bottom of the frame, and I like the idea of the tall crop. However, I find the four spots very distracting--the pattern and dark tone really draws your eye. It's an excellent image without the spots, and I'm afraid that you're going to get hit for it...
