Lovely work. Both you and Deb nailed the beautiful painterly strokes that makes this technique so wonderful. Hope I get to see more like this from you in future!

Really special......gives a feral feeling with the motion & blur. Well seen, well captured.....well done!

I agree with you 100 percent, images don't allways need to be tack sharp to be good. This on is AMAZING! Well shot and BAH

This was one of 2 images to which I gave a 8. Would have been even higher if there was just a TOUCH more of the head shape...

Great shot with a purpose. 8 from me.

I voted an 8 on this one. Really beautiful blur! ;-)

I rather like it and had I voted, would have probably rated it a 7+. I love blur and it is so under appreciated around here.

I like how it looks like it in full-on dive bomb motion :)

This one and the second ribbon winner were my favorites, gave you a 10 - I just really like some blur and painty feeling, and the composition is really effective here.

Absolutely terrific rendering of pigeon flight, the imprecise, ambiguous quality of it, and a tie for the Bronze bear from me.

Very striking! Photos that are out of the box just don't go well with "in the box" challenges. This is the type of photo that people will look at after the challenge and wonder, why didn't I see that it was brilliant!

My highest rated image in the most boring challenge ever (admitted, it was a 7). I think you was robbed.

Well, this didn't do as well as I had hoped - but I have to admit I sort of expected this. The DPC crowd is so keen on focus and crispness in pictures, which this of course doesn't have - but it have so much more, and I still believe it's the best in the challenge - and by quite a margin too.

I liked the feel of intense motion this conveyed. I gave it a 6.

Deb sent me to this, and she's right! It's wonderful!

Congratulations, Ben - this is my personal favorite of the challenge. I should perhaps come up with Pigeon ribbons... :-)

Lovely capture of motion.

I like this action shot! The motion is very effective. Not sure about the title though.

I like the motion conveyed, but not so much the position and background. It's a little awkward. Overall I like it, though.
Post actions
Beautiful - the motion is beautifully captured.

love the texture and impresionistic feel of this photo, great colors

Abstract! I like! But is it a pidgeon? ;)

Love the abstractness of this 9
Post actions
I really love the movement and the composition to this photo. Well done!

I don't know if this was a lucky shot or you set out to do this, but I really like it. It will be interesting to see where this ends up because DPC likes photos that are in focus.

The best in the challenge sofar - hope to see a ribbon here...

Blur on just the wings would have been effective, the whole image being blurry detracts from its potential

I feel like a little more contrast would help the shot. There is a fine line with shots like this between a strong feeling, intersting shot and just a blury shot. I keep going back and forth on which it seems like to me.

An excellent abstract shot. The division of black to white and the bird movement are excellent. One of my top choices for the challenge.
Post actions
Nice angle but i wish the bird was in focus!

Great escape (of both a bird and a photog)

Oh, this makes me smile. EXCELLENT motion blur and perfect use of the black/white background - just enough detail to give it texture. Really, really gorgeous.

beautiful, and love the title...
