My daughter said, "What is it about all of these old guys with their shirts off?" LOL! (You're my age. *sigh*)
If there were catchlights in your eyes, I would have liked this much more. Your left eye is lost in the shadow...

Wow, you can see the wheels in his brain turning. The personality really comes thru and the eyes looking out of frame really make the whole thing work.

It is a good portrait. I feel that we are missing out on something because the eyes are the least emphasized part of this image.
