The front three OOF birds detract a bit from the rest of the scene, but I'm no expert in composition yet...
This shot is really interesting in its composition for me, and I love the B&W. However, I'm not getting the wow feeling I think I should be getting from it. Maybe it's the angle of the shot or your depth of field. I can't quite identify what would make it better for me. Interesting though!
I think having the foreground row of birds in focus would have been a much better idea because they are facing me and i could get more of the image. Majority of the pigeons in the back row have their backs to me. The image is crisp and very well processed.
The composition seems too busy to me, but I am totally falling for the classy black and white, and the delightful way the shallow DOF brings out the feather textures. Very neat. :)
Oh dear - I'd not be all that pleased if that were my bike, and I LIKE pigeons! They look like it's a chilly, nasty weather kinda day and they're just hanging out waiting for someone to come feed them. I like this.
