this is basically straight out of camera.. I bought these flowers at my local flower shop and set up the shoot in my backyard on a bench. I used a teal bath towell as the backdrop. I really like the way the colors contrast each other which again usually means DPC voters will not.. I'm going for a placement of a 78 and an avg of 5.823.

The blue is just so neon that I am looking more at the negative space than the actual flowers. The composition is good and I think that the flowers themselves are very interesting to look at. I especially like the dots at the bottom of the petals.
Oh this is a beautiful photo, but you are right, it is way too Neon looking. The blue sort of killed the flower. It does not look natural, it almost looks plastic. Try to tone the blue down and you might have a good photo.
