I couldn't make up my mind on which sport so I chose two! I set up in the dining room with a gray cloth, just the color I needed. My sister held up the cloth behind so don't mind if there are little wrinkles. My mom held the light and I think the shawdow makes a good detail.
I did no cropping, yeah! Converted to grayscale, sharpened the egdes, sharpened the overall image, adjusted brightness down and contrast up.

Really great shot. My only suggestion woudl be to increase the use of negative space slightly - maybe to the top. Also, it seems very grainy. The lighting is supurb and works well in black and white. Good luck -7
The old balls and hats certainly give the image an aged mood, especially with the choice of black and white. The toning itself seems a little flat and could do with additional contrast. Additionally, although the lighting is good, the background is far too close to the items and the creases and textures are a little too prominent.
