The Image: I am home alone at the moment with wife in Sydney for work and daughter in Sydney for a conference. I got up early to catch this at the Yarra River. It's a favourite spot of mine and I have had some success there. I thought the birds did me a favour. IT WAS FREEEEEEZING Cold. My hands were icing up.
The Edit: Crop, USM, Levels, B and W with a tint, some noise reduction via Noise Ninja, Sharpen, some minor levels adjustments, border. I went for a tighter crop and hopefully that will work.
Prediction: 6.1???

There is another rowing shot this challenge....and sorry to say the other one is composed better. I don't like the cutting off of the boat and the birds to me are a distraction. Also, like I told the other person - get rid of the border. Nice tonality though. 5
The birds really elevate this shot (so to speak)! I would have liked it anyway, nice crisp detail on the rowers, but the birds really add another level of appreciation.
