Bamboo Graffitti, well kind off I guess, couldn't think what elese to call it. It's actually in the botanic gardens here in Adelaide, SA. There's a whole pathway surrounded by old bamboo and people from all over the world have carved their names in it.. The oldest we can see in from the 60's.
Three bracketed shots (+/- 2 stops) taken, then run through Photomatix for HDR. Taken into photoshop CS4, an additional layer added, additional layered blurred, then merged back as "hard light" at 90% opacity.
re-sized, cropped to square it, USM on lower layer, then saved for web and posted.

Very nice execution. I've already done a bamboo graffiti shot, but it was a long time ago and not executed anywhere near as well as this one.. so I guess I'll let it slide as "never seen before" ;P

Congratulations on a great shot! I thought it was from the gardens in Rockhampton in Queensland, Australia as I recently saw the exact same concept there, and it caught my eye too!
I love this image. Just looking at it, you're forced to wonder what it the significance of the graffiti, and then you notice what looked to be foreign characters are in fact English letters, and it really is just "graffiti". Excellent photo and should do well.
I do like this, even more on my second visit. Simple yet complex and I think you have made what could have been a snapshot into an excellent study. I hope this does well for you!
Beautiful. There's an ethereal quality, almost a glow to the individual bamboo stalks. It almost feels like you stumbled on a hidden grove where those in the know proclaim their love like so many before them. Really fantastic. In my top 3.
