 give me some tips please don't just rate it

I know its just a picture of a flower on a bench but i like taking pictures of things the viewer can make a story all their own from. In my case it relates to me through the relationship problems im having...but thats just me. If you want i'd love to hear what you get from this photograph.

i think the flower is pretty but the name? if i could rate the photo it would be a ten but the photo itself is a four mabe a five.

I really like the detail in the carnation, I just don't like the background (looks like a lawn/patio chair).
