I think your entry shot was the correct/best choice. I think the portrait framing/crop adds to convey height. I don't think the addition of the beams in this landscape framing/crop adds to the image. Your entry shot shows the depth of the beam he is standing on and I think that conveys the "risk" of his occupation better. Also, your entry shot shows more of the beam he is guiding in place, which conveys the precarious nature of a "loose" swinging beam. The other shots don't convey the "drama" of what he is doing; the entry shot with him standing, knees bent, steadying himself shows the tension of him guiding the beam... Entry shot is definitely the best image IMO. |
