 We have a great rope swing in the front yard, hanging from a huge maple tree. When the kids had some friends over the other day I brought out the camera, dragged the shutter a bit, and had a flash in a softbox off to camera left to help freeze the kids' faces as they swung by.

I still think this is one of the best shots in the challenge. The blur is just right, to me it conveys the joy of childhood play wonderfully. Should be top 3 or 4 at least. Great shot.

There are a couple things that ruin this shot for me: 1) I don't know this kid. 2) I can't see the expression on his face, and therefore don't feel anything emotion towards this stranger. 3) I'm distracted by the blurry hands and rope. I might have tried bumping up the shutter speed a bit to try to get more of him in focus.

I would have liked more of the kid to be sharp.
