I didn't wanted to take another car/motorcycle/bicycle panning shot so I was thinking about the possible other subjects and since I'm working on the series of photos "I Wish I Could Be Child Again" the idea came kind of naturally. I searched the internet for some interesting paper plane designs, made couple of them, took my camera on a nice sunny day (took my polarization filter) and went to the park close to where I live. Took about 50 shots, varying exposure time, shooting directly into the sun with/without flash, away from the sun… I wanted to have a nice blue sky as well as the green trees as the background. Blurry, but not too blurry. I tried different planes and different orientations. I focused on the plane and then switched to manual mode and then rotate with the plane in the left hand while shooting from the right hand. At the end I went with this one you are looking at. Almost no editing in PS. I’m pretty satisfied with the photo and the atmosphere it creates… looking at the score, it seems not many share my opinion :)

Hi pineapple, there are many good designs out there, just google it :)
For the plane in the photo I used:

It flies quite well :-)
And thanks everyone for comments.
This shot took me back to my school days for some reason.
Guess it reminded me of the naughty things we would get upto when the teacher wasn't in the classroom and we would make paper planes and fly them at each other;-)
Good luck with your Dream, they do sometimes come true!!
I find the sun distracting. Also, the movement of the shot sugests that we are moving from left to right (or right to left), but the plane is pointing straight at us. If it is the plane that is moving, shouldn't it be facing to the left or right of the frame?
Nicely done - the panning here is subtle, and I hope most voters look long enough to notice. I like the askew horizon, works well as a counterpoint to the angle of the paper airplane.
