Agree with the sentiment and it's a cute and well-shot photo ... but a bit of a stretch for this challenge. I would have at least used a lizard or some other exotic animal rather than a kitten.
I suspect you will get killed with DNMC votes, for the animal not coming from the zoo. My own is a little OOB as well, so the low votes won't be coming from me this time.
Nice out of the box entry. I think the photo is awesome. Would vote a little higher if it really was a zoo shot, because getting a good shot at the zoo is quite a challenge.
DMC. I don't view te local shelter as a zoo. But I adore this picture, the kitty is beautiful on the bg - and the eyes are striking. So how do I score - 6.
I like the image. Good pose, sharply focused and the black, non-intrusive background really works well here. I'm not sure how the non-zoo animal will go over with the voters, though. Not voting.
