There's another photo of this in the challenge, shot from almost exactly the same spot. Of course I can't help but compare the 2. This is very well done but the other one is just a little bit better (brighter, more colourful). So if you score below the other one that could be the reason. But this is still in my top 10.
There is another photo of the same subject from the same angle at roughly the same time. Both very very good. Both meet the challenge. And both are indicative of how different photogs will capture and edit a scene differently. Both of you get a 9.
