Another of my favorites for the month. Too busy for a Free Study, I'm afraid. Also makes an excellent desktop. Taken with the 10-22, with pigeons flying directly past my head. Note the shadow in the bottom center - pretty sure that's the photographer.
How do you know you're a DPC star? Your stats look like something from a challenge. :) You're right not to have put this in the free study, but it's another Deb special!
Busy schmizzy - it's fun! I like these kinds of photos because the scene contains a lot of things to check out. I like how the birds and the people are comfortably sharing this space. The topaz looks great here too.
Love this. You could have this sitting around for a long time and it would still be jumping. Reminds me of the fullnesses of some of Bruegel's paintings.
thankyou deb .. :)x
the way you've caught those birds in mid air and the excellent depth of field .. brilliant ..
i might have to make this a fav .. !!!!!!!!!!!
This is awesome Deb...it has such a 3D look about it. I hadn't seen it till I went looking through your portfolio. I love the result...I fell like I am there.
I carry around a small zip lock bag full of bird seed in my camera bag for the last 12 months or so. But never manage to generate as much pigeon frenzy as you do :)
I like this one better than 'Take Off', because the contrast is not so extreme. This would make a GREAT jigsaw puzzle. It reminds me of some of the classic paintings of piazza's that are so frequently used for puzzles.
