I see this as a reaction to the challenge, rather than a meeting of the challenge. It is a stubborn decision to force stillness from a living scene. Sheer madness with a razor plane of sanity translated into a few bars of Still Life... I know that tune... Posthumous Red Ribbon.

This doesn't seem much like the traditional notion of a still life, IMO, and therefore fails to meet the challenge.
