I did have a picture exactly like this where the depth of field was correct and the viola is in focus... but I edited and uploaded the worse version where the viola was out of focus!!!
I've just started out with photography, especially this branch where things are preemptively set up for the photo so hopefully I can improve in the future.

Great idea and composition, but the focus is off a bit on the violin. I think sharpness would have halped, then the edge of the floor/deck a bit destracting, does not match the subject matter, it is rough, the violin is elegant.
It's a well set up shot...but the violin is not out of focus enough...or it is not in focus enough. I don't know. I can't tell if it's supposed to be in focus or not.
I like the subject material - kind of. It's almost like you attempted to put too much together here and have lost potential impact overall. The music with the roses - or - music sheets with the violin. The music stand center leg is also a distraction. Last thing...the violin is substantially OOF.
I really like the idea here, but for me the harsh shadows cast by the light detract from the image, also it would be better if the violin was in focus. But nice set up and angle!
