i'm going to have to take your word that this is more than two light sources, and that's something I'm not all that fond of doing when it comes to voting. i personally prefer submissions that are at least slightly more apparent - but that objectivity is what makes it art!! :)
Beautiful lighting. It captures the wonderful color and texture of this single petal. I particularly like the backlighting rimming the ruffled edge of the petal at the top. I like the yellow against this black background. Good work!
Nice picture. Great lighting and detail. I'm not a fan of the water drop, though. I think it detracts from the simplicity aspect of this shot some. Still, I like it!
Simple and beautiful. Multiple light sources might not be obvious, but I am sure you used more than one. The texture of the petal and the shadows are just exquisite. I would have liked the dew to sparkle a little bit more, if you reshoot this, maybe place it just near the light and not under the shadows. But for this challenge, you got 'it.'
I guess you must have used some reflector, or fill light from somehwere, to have entered this in this challenge ... but for the life of me I cannot see what that is other than what looks like one large softlight. there's also a slight feeling of the bowl of the petal drifting out of focus, just out of the focal range perhaps, almost like a wide aperture shot focussed on the nearer part of the petal; this is a shame, as the wter drop makes that area appear to be the natural catch-point of the image. 4 - mainly for not meeting challenge.
