My thirteen year old son Charlie. Shot on a rainy/ cloudy afternoon at an abandoned gas station near our house. Lighting included a fill flash to provide some improved lighting to his face - i would have used a reflector but i don't have one...and i ran out of Aluminum foil....
Edit:
1. Converted RAW to JPEG in CS4
2. Duplicate Layer - Desaturated using Hue/saturation - Multiply and opacity adjustment
3. Adjusted curves, levels, Contrast, Hue/Saturation as adjustment layers
4. Merged Layers
5. Duplicate Layer - Topaz Adjust (Portrait Drama and Clarity) - adjust opacity down
6. Burn/ Dodge face for contrast and detail
7. Add subtle vignette
8. Minor clone along pant legs
9. Adamus Sharpening using resize, sharpen, resize for web.
Post Challenge: Very happy with the score and the final placement. Some great images in the challenge. I want to thank Team Polska for providing some very useful feedback of my original edit, enabling me to 'find' this final version.
