I took over 300 photos of flowers and water drops, this is my first time trying this. All hand-held, manual focus. My biggest problem was the reflection from the flash. I could not get rid of it so I tried to choose the photo with the smallest reflection.
This is a very small water drop. I placed it on the petal with a syringe, amazingly it stayed there. The background is another flower. Not sure what kind of flower, a daisy or mum, much smaller than a gerbera daisy.

This picture gave me inspiration! Genius!!!! I\'m only 14 and everyones jaw drops. A teacher at my school thinks I photoshopped my version... I have a pink and red version at my website... sarasphotography.tech.officelive.com
your water droplet and flower images are absolutely beautiful .. the colours are equisitite and i love the dof so much .. congrats on your blue ribbon and pb .. WOW .. !!!..:)
Im so glad this photo won a ribbon, I didn't vote in the challenge and would have been sorry if I missed this! Complimentary colors and their placement in the frame really make it!Congratulations on your success:)
My only 10 of the challenge - gorgeous photograph, beautifully presented, with a meaningful tag that matches with the image. All in all, excellent work.
An exceptional submission. This looks professional, and something I could image seeing on peoples walls. The photo matches the title and phrase very well. I feel that the white for the border and writing in this case was the correct choice, as any other colour in the photo would have merged in somewhere in the border. The photo has a lot of interesting elements, with the right depth of field and very interesting colours throughout. A top class submission for this challenge, and one of my highest rated photos.
There are so many very very good posters. This one is really very clever and very good photography. As most of the others I'll vote this one 8. I cannot decide which one is best. Great great job.
Seen a lot around here, but with a flower macro it's particularly brilliant as you get both the softness and the whole flower sharp in the same shot! I take a bow in front of such a display of talent!
Giving it a 9 only because the "subject in water-drop" technique is not unique, however, the picture is wonderful. Great color, focus, and framing. Good job!
The colors are superb , wonderful DOF control , my only niggle is the unfortunate reflection of the spot lighting in the droplet. Still wonderfully done. , my fav so far. 9
this is very nice, I came across one done with this quote on another site, when looking for ideas, but I think you out did it. I love the colors and the sharpness of the flower in the drop. Would love to know how you did it, so I can try these shots. 10
