Yes Yes Yesssssssssss :) Its about fridgin time to get a ribbon :) My Firsttttttttttt :) Now I wont be able to sleep :)
Thank you all for the wonderful comments and favs.
For the 1,2,3 voters .. well .. you get the message ;)
Another update: This is the living room, I had to remove the carpet and all the side and midle table, to keep only the wall and floor which have the same tones and colors. And Yes, it is a paint not a wall papper :) This wall in particular took us 11 hours nonstop work and a 12Redbulls to get it done :)
How do I get a wall like this?!! Guys .. it became really embarrassing question :) The amount of PMs and posts asking me how did I do this wall are amazing :) Made me feel I wont a Ribbon on internal design :)
Any way,
Please check this link:
//www.rona.ca/project/~creating-special-effects-ragging-378_paint-moulding-wallpaper_decoration
At the link I sent you from Rona, you will find the design that we were looking for, which came nothing close to what we ended up with.
The idea is simple, colors, mix them with glaze, and sponge them to get this effect. Simple .. right?
When we did this wall, we totally forgot to mix the colors with glaze, so we ended up with something close to midday wall. That was quickly turning to concrete, I had to letterly wash the colors inch by inch from the wall, then try again. We ended up with this wall .. which as I said was nothing close to what we had in mind.
Good pointer: If you scre&%^d up your wall, you can always call it art :)
Cheers,

Brilliant colors, Congratulations on your first ribbon which is well deserved by the way. this shot has a fresh aspect and a perfect Composition.
Mabroooooooooooook
well now i know the artist this takes on new meaning .. its such a wonderful shot ..
its amazing how mistakes can turn out to be so positive when we look at the big picture .. !!
in this case i'm talking about your wall but it works in real life as well .. :)..
This is one of the first ribbon winners in a long time that I actually enjoy looking at. It has a story hidden in there, and the color play is pretty divine. I would love my walls painted like that!
WOW Ameed! I am so proud of you! Your photos have only got better and better, I should've placed money on you to ribbon soon.
Huge congrats on what I am sure will be the first of many.
Susan, If it wasn't up to the continues critique I receive from you, I don't think I would've been able to make it to the front page.
You told me before and let me quote your words '' A really strong entry, sadly the dramatic use of lighting didn't resonate with most DPCiers. However, you can either shoot to please the DPC crowd, or you can (and imho) should shoot to please yourself. '',
I followed it to the letter, I was shooting to please myself, and paid extra attention to the lighting, YOU got me a ribbon, and I thank you for that :)
You have come a long way since those early Critique CLub comments you I posted. Well done Ameed. Glad to see this ribbon.
Tim, thanks allot for your kind comment, honestly saying .. wouldn't be making it to the front without your comments and the rest of the guidance I received from the CC.
Thanks allot, really appreciate it.
Well done, this is an amazing shot, so vibrant and in your face with such subtle details. It is amazing how that first ribbon tastes!! You will be on a high all week!!!
Congrats on your first ribbon. Beautiful image. Is that your little motivator to quit smoking???? Hope that's still going well.
Yes FireBird, this little motivator can push me to move mountains :)
Thanks for asking, it is still going well, I'll post either tonight or tomorrow morning the Week1 update :)
wow, that's really great - really pops out from all the other processing. Nice work, great composition, and fun little story being told. If it were up to me, you win.
