This is a good textual photography. I think that more of the chair should have been light more to be more effective. Maybe you could go back to this spot for the grunge challenge.
Any shot that possibly involves breaking and entering is good in my book. :-) Seriously, though, I like the light in this one a lot. Nice simple comp works too.
This image relies too much on the emergence from the dark to create tension and drama. A little bit of fill light to reduce the contrasty effect created by the blank window would have helped create a more favorable impression. While the author's intent is clear, it just doesn't feel "right".
