This photo is a combination of overexposed areas (the window) and underexposed (the room) There are no correctly exposed areas in this photo. The crop is not even, the subject is very uninteresting, the black and white processing doesn't work.........
There are lots of things than can be improve in here, To get out of the point and shoot prospective, try a different angle,
You don't have to show all to convey the message, self critique works most of the time,

this photo lacks of a border and motivational message in the photo (I'd prefer there to be one, consider it as you were writting a motivational letter and following certain rules), the skate can be barely seen, and what is that near the window, napkins? are they really necesary in the photo? And the b&w isn't much appealing for this kind of a photo
