This is my first practice on photographing hot air balloons. It was taken during peak blooming week of Wooden Shoe tulip farm and luckily the weather was nice.
Thanks a lot for comments, favs, wishlists and votes.

Awesome shot! Glad to see you show your talent away from the bridge. :) Also great to see you up in my neck of the woods.
I have been in your neck of the woods for three times (count in previously this one and virtually this one , LOL). Maybe someday we gonna bump into each other with cameras on hands.
Thanks to everybody for the comments! The dynamic range of this back-lighting scene is out of the capability of JPG but luckily is still in the range of RAW, therefore, I didn't use multi frame. The shutter was so slow because I used CPL and ISO 100 and with needs of DOF, big thanks to the pilots of the hot air balloons, they held the balloons still so there was no motion blur. LOL I think they held still for their riders to photograph tulips from above but I also took this advantage.
I hesitated whether I should comment or not, because it may well be that I'm the only one who doesn't like your winning photo (congrats anyway). Maybe I've seen too many tulips, being a Dutchie and all LOL. Besides that it's too much overdone in everything for my taste. I would love to see the original, good chance I like it better. Sorry, but that's how I feel.
This was my favorite image in this challenge. Great composition, details and colors. You didn't use the TS Lense for this, right? Congrats for the Blue Ribbon.
A hearty congratulations on this great image and the well deserved Blue. The level of details and wonderfully rich colors that you were able to pull out and deliver at 720 and <200kb is almost unimaginable.
That is quite striking and lovely indeed. Congratulations. This has not only artistic, but commercial appeal. This would make a great banner or sign for the farm.
This is fabulous. I am taking my husband to a hot air balloon race in a few weeks. Any suggestions...it will be our first time at any such type of event. ... BTW - 10
Perfect angle placing the balloons nicely between closer trees, and the right side balloon centered in front of another little grove. Very nice color and detail, too.
Beautiful Colours! I absolutely love this pic. The perspective with the tulips as leading lines is great. I will be surprised if this is not in the top ten.Good Luck.
Impressive capture !
Attractive subject, very well composed and processed (although a bit overprocessed IMO, in particular around the balloons an trees.
Still a good 8.
This is stunning. I absolutely love the detail and the colors. 9
Ps. If you don't mind I would appreciate it ever so much if you would PM me your editing and post processing technique for this. I have been wanting to try and achieve this kind of look but don't know how to go about it. Thanks ever so much. Regards, Fred
Very different and unigue - a solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being richly colored with excellant detail. This image would have worked as a black and white as well. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus. Well done.
This is definitely one of those "right place, right time" photos that was perfectly photographed and processed. There's a little something for everyone to enjoy.
The composition is great, the rows of tulips leads the viewer to the horizon. All of the colors are fantastic; the greens are rich, the yellows and reds of the tulips are brilliant, the balloons are brilliant and compliment the flowers, and the blue tones of the sky are great with just enough clouds to add character to the sky. I like this image because everything is sharp/focused and the colors are so vibrant. There is a lot of visual interest in this image that I think compliment each other. I compliment you on your keen eye for composition, and I'm sure making the effort to be at the right place and right time to capture this image. This is one of my favorites of this challenge. 10
