I'm voting on this challenge (as I do all challenges) by first asking myself, does this photo have any appeal outside the boundaries of the challenge. In other words, art comes first. In this case I have to say, \"no\". The subject does not appeal to me as something I would want to look at again and again. Truthfully, I find it unpleasant to look at. I don't mind being made uncomfortable by a photo but this is just mundanely distasteful to me. There isn't enough contrast between the background and the top edge of the banana, It nearly disappears into the background. The only details in the banana are in the lower edge where it is in shadow. |
