Open RAW, exposure -.5, Contrast, selective color desideration, crop, color adjustment layer, black and white filter then layered the mud and plant, dodge and burn, neat image, save for web.

The image conveys the message well, though a touch soft in parts - this is not a subject that merits shallow DOF, in my mind. Do like the warm tones in the hands and earth and the selective desat to focus on the clover.
Nice. Might have been even better if you guys weren't transplanting a clover plant. ;-). Seriously, a really good shot and who cares what you're planting, right? I like the color treatment here.
