I know I shouldn't enter this--it's too noisy, and I don't like the glare on the book. But I like having something entered, and I didn't have very many choices.

The sense of "moment" is present in this image and the obvious character being captured carries visual impact. Technically, it's a very well composed image which is a huge plus. From an artistic standpoint, it lacks impact. A worthy entry into the challenge just lacking that something special to make it stand out.
Candid shots of people reading are rarely interesting, although this candid has a nice backfrop (all those great books covers). Quality isn't the greatest. Telephoto?
