I was taking pictures of my son's baseball game when I heard a child crying. I turned around and saw this -- my daughter in tears and her daddy comforting her. (he was only using one arm because the other is in a robo-cop type brace for a broken elbow).

An openly candid moment of sadness and joy, this was a spur of the moment capture that instantly is recognizable to anyone who has children. A very effective composition from both an artistic and technical standpoint, the very poignant effect is palpable. A great candid capture which should place well if not a ribbon contender. Well done.
I'm excited because this is an actual candid in the sea of non-candids. I love the moment you captured. Perhaps this image would have more impact, if you had chosen a tighter crop. 6 nonetheless.
