For those wondering, this is my washing machine, lit with a torchlight. The lens is unscrewed by two turns (ie 2mm), in order to get a smaller close focus distance.

Nice placement (though I was sure this would ribbon!). This was one of my top favorites from this challenge. Is this the inside of a dryer? Like a clothes dryer? That's what it looks like to me. I could be way off, though.
If it were up to me, this would ribbon - Blue or Red. Not sure exactly what this is, but I LOVE the lighting and the creative implementation of the Tacks. Really beautifully executed.
A terrific image, but to this reviewer, the image seems to be much to subtle with respect to the challenge subject. However, it does contain tacks and the tacks, while underdone and understated, enhance the image but more in the respect of adding color and not necessarily detail as they get lost in the background. A technical success, but lacking that same success from an artistic standpoint. In a different challenge, it would be great.
Is this a washing machine or dryer? I like the coppery read against the black and the "natural" way the tacks have found their niches. Probably don't need the letterbox frame.
That is the cleanest dryer drum I've ever seen... Great abstract and lighting. Love the highlights, although the tacks are barely visible. Nice touch with the contrasting color.
Inside of a clothes dryer? I'm guessing this should ribbon. If not, I'd be surprised. The lighting over the smooth dimples with the brass colored tacks looks nice.
