This is a great concept and from a technical perspective, a success. The image is right on the edge of being over sharpened which is a plus. This may have suffered from flash reflection as the silica in the rail bedding material creates a speckled effect similar to hot pixels even though that isn't the problem - its very similar to what you get with snow in that the crystals reflect light at odd angles. From an artistic point of view, it falls just short of the mark of being excellant. A sound entry into the challenge and it should place well. |
