it's hard to shoot through a cage or fence, and this is no exception, the bird's textures get lost in the wiring...his eye is great, the way you nailed it with the focus.
The cage could have been used more effectively with a closer shot. The author could also have adjusted for the cage by creating a frame for the image of texture concentrating on the silver feathers. A good concept just a little shy of being interesting.
