A dunnock sits in bushes watching me. These birds are quite small, not much bigger than a Great Tit, and have a really pretty song. this is the first decent photo I have got of one, as they prefer to inhabit the shady areas with the protection that they offer.

In retrospect, this isn't a good entry for the challenge; the texture is not sufficiently prominent. That said, I am still really pleased with the photo, especially as Dunnocks are fairly shy birds that tend to stay in the shadows.

Although it is textures I don't feel like that is the subject. Not dnmc and not a bad shot but there are so many in the challenge that scream texture as the subject of the shot.
The author's intent is plain and interesting, but fails just short of being an effective way of envoking texture. A tighter shot sans the branch would have helped convey the sense of dimension that a texture shot should have. As a fauna image, it's excellant even with the branch in the way.
