A while back while working on an alchemy series I experimented with vinegar, lemon juice and salt in a glass pie plate. I allowed the concoction to evaporate and was left with this amazing pattern. For this challenge I pulled out the pie plate, which I had stored away, and began to photograph. The image I submitted was taken while holding the plate up to the sky, to allow light to come through.
Later in Photoshop I cropped the image, and made some adjustments to to Levels, Color Balance, and Saturation.

An image that demonstates the subject matter of the challenge in good fashion with good DOF. An artistic success that more than adequately meets the challenge subject but it falls short on technical merit by being a little flat.
