A couple of weeks ago I went looking for wildflowers with a friend, and found this Douglas Iris. While I almost always photograph wildflowers where they are growing I'm getting old and creaky, so instead of getting down to its level, I had that willing accomplice hold this blossom up a bit. So, with that help, and handholding a nice long lens, I got good bokeh and a fair blossom image. I did use the 'find edges' and 'multiply' aids in Ps. Not sure I like the 'find edges' but it did bring out the veins.
so....I take it that "find edges" is why your iris is so "outlined"...that is interesting to me I will have to experiment with that...really like your colors and the bokeh that you achived
Beautiful iris. It's such a gorgeous colour, and works so well with the bokeh. I think the processing is fine, and the texture of the petals is really evident.
