 I took a walk in the nearby Socorro Nature Area yesterday in hopes of finding something interesting, but it is still to early in the season for wildflowers. So I had to settle for old weeds :-)

I started with the original image, then applied my newest overlay twice, first in soft light mode 100% opacity then overlay mode 30% opacity. Combined them and created a new layer to which I ran the Color Efex Pro paper toner filter #2. Darkened up the background a bit by painting with black on a new layer set to soft light mode, then added a bit of color to the weeds by painting with colors on a new layer in soft light mode.

Love the musical notes! It does remind me of a bookcover from an oldtime book. Wonderful treatment!
