This is a 10 day old Cornish Cross chick. It will be ready for slaughtering in another 4-6 weeks. This breed grows insanely fast. They're already as large (by weight) as my 26 day old Buff Orpington's.

This is such a cute image. Really like the composition and the different colours in this one. Only nit is that the chick's eye is dark - ie. no catchlight in it to give it that little 'pop'. Good DOF and detail in the face though. 9.
